Current grantmaking behavior and trends are skewed heavily toward support for urban-based or urban-focused programs. In Rural Philanthropy: Building Dialogue from Within, NCRP explores both real and perceived barriers between rural nonprofits and foundations in urban areas, as well as strategies for overcoming those obstacles.

• Projects include downtown revitalization, cultural heritage tourism and historic preservation, government and nonprofit depot exchange property centers, small business and industry development, value-added agricultural ventures, social venture and organizational development, product and market development. 
• Recently we produced a business plan for an Industrial Kitchen Complex (Commercial Kitchen, Catering Service, Retail Storefront and Mail Order/Shipping Service) for the EDGE Connection (Empowering and Developing Georgia’s Entrepreneurs). We are currently working on a model for income generating strategies for food business incubators. 
• Other recent contracts have spanned community capacity building initiatives, executive coaching, organizational assessment and analysis, venture development consultation and strategy development for public/private ventures.
